The city of Anuradhapuram is headquartered in Sri Lanka's North Central Province. The North Central Province of the country currently employs it as its capital. But before the third century BC, this city become widely known as the ancient Sri Sri lanka capital. The settlement was established by Anuradha, who accompanied a prince named Vijayan to Sri Lanka when he came there along with 700 of his companions after already being expelled from the Lada nation in northeastern India due to his negative conduct, according to the Sinhalese historical book Mahavamsa.
