Bal Gangadhar Tilak

 Bal Gangadhar Tilak was an Indian nationalist, social reformer, and freedom fighter who was born in Ratnagiri, India, in 1856 and died in Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1920. He was a key figure in India's struggle for independence from British colonial rule and was known for his nationalist and anti-colonialist views.Tilak was one of the first leaders of the Indian National Congress and was instrumental in promoting the idea of Swaraj, or self-rule, for India. He was also a strong advocate for Hindu nationalism and worked to promote Hindu culture and traditions.
