Dadabhai Navroji

 

Dadabhai Naoroji was an Indian Parsi scholar, educator, and politician who is known for his contributions to the Indian independence movement. He was born in Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1825 and died in 1917.Naoroji is widely regarded as the "Grand Old Man of India" and was the first Indian to be elected to the British Parliament. He was a prominent figure in the Indian National Congress and worked tirelessly to promote Indian self-rule and to improve the conditions of the Indian people.
