 Jawaharlal Nehru (1889-1964) was an Indian nationalist and a prominent leader in the Indian independence movement. He was born in Allahabad, India, and was educated at Harrow School in England and later at Trinity College, Cambridge.Nehru was deeply influenced by the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, and he became one of his closest associates and allies in the struggle for Indian independence.
