Mahatma Gandhi

 Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian political and spiritual personality who lived from 1869 to 1948, is frequently referred to as the originator of the campaign for Indian independence. He was born in Porbandar, Gujarat, India. After completing his legal studies in London, he returned to his native nation in 1915.Gandhi was a well-known proponent of using peaceful civil disobedience to bring forward social and political change. He organized and led a number of nonviolent campaigns and demonstrations against British colonial rule in the nation of India, such as the Salt March in 1930 and the Quit India movement in 1942. Many other civil rights leaders around the world were influenced by his uncompromising concept, termed as Satyagraha.
