Monalana Abdul Kalam Azad

 Azad played a key role in the negotiations leading up to India's independence from British colonial rule in 1947, and served as the country's first Minister of Education from 1947 to 1958. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Indian Institutes of Technology and the University Grants. Commission, and worked to promote universal literacy and education in India.Azad was a strong proponent of democracy and secularism, and believed in the importance of building a just and inclusive society that respected the rights of all citizens. He died in 1958, but his legacy as a champion of education and social justice continues to inspire people in India and around the world.
