Colombia is a country located in the northwestern part of South America, bordered by Panama, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and the Caribbean Sea. It has a population of approximately 50 million people and covers an area of about 1.1 million square kilometers. The capital of Colombia is Bogotá.

Colombia is known for its rich biodiversity, with diverse landscapes that include the Andes Mountains, Amazon rainforest, Pacific and Caribbean coastlines, and vast plains. The country is home to numerous national parks and natural reserves, such as Tayrona National Natural Park, Cocora Valley, and the Amazon Rainforest, which are popular tourist destinations.
